What I do
I share messages and help others to do the same. One of the most difficult, but absolutely necessary demands of humanity is to communicate with clarity. We each have something to share and I want to get those messages across the gulfs between people.
How I do it
I use new and old media to share messages—the right tool for the right job. Whether it’s through blogs, books, conversations, photos, postcards, tweets, or websites—I make sure the messages are in a vehicle that can cross the gulfs between people and make the greatest impact.
Where I live
I currently live in Washington, D.C., but I‘ve called a few places home and my story map keeps track of some of the writing that has trailed behind. St. Louis lived up to its name as the gateway city for me, leading to my first desert, the Sonoran, which is a landscape that never entirely lets you go. It’s hard to shake all the dust off your boots, no matter how far you travel.
